St Brendan's dominates
ST BRENDAN'S College has again hammered down its authority over opposing schools as the dominant force in rugby league, winning every grand final on Saturday at Browne Park. St. Brendan's played The Cathedral College in 13A, 14A, 15A and open A grades, winning each game with tremendous style and sportsmanship. They also won the open B grand final defeating the Rockhampton High school.St. Brendan's College Director of Sport, Casey Bromilow, attributed the success to the development strategies the school they had have in placeat the school. "St. Brendan's have been at the forefront of schoolboy rugby league for such a long time that eventually we found that our players were not being challenged at key developmental phases of their rugby league careers, which in turn was not producing the results we wanted at the top level," Mr Bromilow he said."Development has become the key driving force for the junior teams at St. Brendan's College. The junior teams are the future of our school."The fact that we look to develop all of our players rather than relying on two or three stars, is a positive result for our students and gives them the greatest possibility at a sporting future beyond high school," he saidCasey.
