Students replace bridge for Narnia Kindy kids after Marcia

CQUNIVERSITY building and construction students will create a new play bridge for Narnia Kindergarten, to replace the one damaged by Tropical Cyclone Marcia.

Narnia Kindergarten approached CQUniversity Rockhampton City Campus construction teacher Craig Schelks earlier in the year about helping them build the bridge.

Craig contacted Masters Rockhampton about supplies for the new bridge and the store donated $800 in timber for the students to use in the project.

Craig said the students were excited to have the opportunity to give something back to the community.

"It's something a bit different to what they'd normally learn to do."

Once completed, the new play bridge will be handed over to the kindergarten.
