Students rate CQ TAFE highly

MORE than 88% of Central Queensland Institute of TAFE graduates were employed or in further study after completing their program.

National Centre for Vocational Education Research recently released its 2009 Student Outcomes Survey, which found CQ TAFE graduates were highly satisfied with their training and had achieved excellent outcomes.

The survey showed that more CQ TAFE graduates were employed or in further study than their counterparts across all other VET providers in Australia.

Institute director Steve Mathieson said the employable graduates were a result of quality and industry-relevant training.

“The student survey shows that 90% of graduates were satisfied with the overall quality of training,” Mr Mathieson said.

“It also shows that 88.3% of graduates were employed or in further training after completing their qualification, and 93.1% said they fully or partly achieved their main reason for training,” he said.

People considering activating their career prospects in 2010 should contact the Institute on 1300 CQ TAFE (1300 27 82 33).
