AUSSIE RULES: The Yeppoon Swans rallied after an uncharacteristically lacklustre first half to keep the Glenmore Bulls scoreless in the second half of their AFL Capricornia clash on Saturday.

The unbeaten Swans ran out 158-point winners, piling on 111 unanswered points the last two quarters against the Bulls, who really aimed up against the two-time defending champs early in the contest.

Swans' coach Mark Wallin said his players appeared a little complacent after their big win last weekend.

"I think they just thought it would happen again and they were a little lazy in the first half and didn't seem to be working for each other,” he said.

"Glenmore, to their credit, were good. They really came out to play in that first quarter; they tackled hard and really put the pressure on our guys.

"I was really disappointed in our group. At half-time. I gave them a spray and told them they needed to work harder and the pleasing thing was they answered the challenge pretty well.”

Ruckman Jamie Garner was best on ground for a Swans outfit that was missing five key players, while Jake King led the scoring with seven of the team's 26 majors.

Wallin also praised the efforts of Sam Nicholls, Brad Richards and Matt Wallin.

The Swans will host BITS in a top-of-the-table clash this weekend and the coach knows they can ill-afford a similar slow start against the Gladstone side.

"I'm hoping it will be a ripper game. Brothers won well against Brothers on Saturday and I expect they will come up here pretty confident,” Wallin said.

"We've got to start better against them than we did against the Bulls, we can't leave it to half-time to push the button.

"If we can do a job on BITS then mentally it's going to go a long way to winning a premiership.”

RESULTS

Yeppoon 26.15 (171) d Glenmore 2.1 (13)

BITS 18.16 (124) d Brothers 2.1 (13)

Panthers 17.12 (114) d Gladstone 11.17 (83)
