Yeppoon Swans to fly high in 2014, kick-off Saturday

THE Yeppoon Swans season starts on Saturday when they travel to play the Glenmore Bulls at Stenlake Park in Rockhampton.

This game was originally set as a home game but, due to Swan Park being underwater during the recent rain; it has been swapped for a home game later in the season.

Games begin at 8.30am for the Under-13s and continue throughout the day with Under-15s, 17s, Reserve Grade, A Grade and Women's matches.

This season's first social event will be held at Swan Park after the match, and includes a live band.

The Under-7s, 9s and 11s Come-and-Try Day for this year will be held at Swan Park, Cordingly St this Sunday . Come along to Swan Park and give Aussie rules a go.

The Come-and-Try Day is on from 10am-noon, sign-on fees this year are $95 for Under-9s and 11s and $65 for Under-7s, which includes an AFL Auskick pack.

There is a reducing fee structure in place for families who have more than one child to sign on.

If you are a new player and planning to sign on please bring along a birth certificate for proof of age.

Training starts on Tuesday, April 22 from 3.40pm to 4.30pm for all Auskickers, Under-7s and 9s and 4.30pm to 5.30pm for Under-11s, 13s, 15s and 17s; the first week back at school after the Easter holiday break.

The first Friday night game for the Under-7s, 9s and 11s will be on Friday, May 2 from 5.45pm for a 6pm start.Phone Stephen Bird on 0403 309 434.
