Ex cyclone Oswald helps swell shape up on Capricorn Coast
IT'S Agnes Water that makes the claim to be eastern Australia's northern-most surfing beach, but ex tropical cyclone Oswald showed the world what Capricorn Coast locals have always known.
When conditions are right, the Capricorn Coast is capable of producing almost perfect swell, as these pictures show.
These photos were taken at Yeppoon on Friday, January 25, when a mini-cyclone swept through the area bringing down trees and whipping Keppel Bay into a surf frenzy.
The pictures were brought into the Morning Bulletin by Dr John McGrath.
