Tai Chi expert to share his knowledge in workshop
AUSTRALIAN Academy of Tai Chi National Chief Instructor Rod Ferguson will visit Rockhampton to present a workshop on Saturday, November14 and a park lesson on Sunday, November 15. Open to all, the workshop will address the fundamentals of Qigong and Tai Chi, focusing on the basic requirements, techniques and skills.
"This workshop is not just about why Tai Chi is so good for you. That's good to know, but this knowledge can also be the key to the techniques that allow you get the best possible benefits out of your Tai Chi for mind and body." Rod said.
"All of these techniques are introduced in simple Shibashi and Tai Chi exercises and flow patterns which make this workshop as valuable to the beginner as to the long term student".
Although he has nearly 40 years' experience in Tai Chi and Qigong, and has earned very high honours (gold and bronze medals in Australia, America and China), Rod's teaching style is natural and he helps students of all levels gain insights.
His enthusiasm and love of the art is contagious so come along prepared to have fun and enjoy learning through play and mindful meditation. The movements are very adaptable - Rod will adjust them to suit your level!
The park lesson will be a group practise of Tai Chi and Qigong suitable for beginners as well.
There will also be some demonstrations by Rod, spectacular and inspirational. An opportunity not to be missed.
