Taila’s dreams grow and is immersed in Brisbane music scene
BEING on The Voice still seems like a dream to Taila Gouge
And while the Moranbah teen's dreams of winning the reality show didn't come true, she'll never forgot the experience.
Taila has since moved to Brisbane and said she was keen to immerse herself in the city's music scene.
She said for now, her focus was on following the advice of coach Joel Madden and developing as an artist. But she hopes to start an all-girl country and pop music band in the future.
Taila said The Voice had made these hopes possible.
"It really opened my eyes and made me dream bigger," she said. "I made some beautiful friends there. The contestants are really like family now."
She said it was great to get to know coaches Joel, Will.i.am, Kylie Minogue and Ricky Martin.
"They're all unique, but they all represent beautiful things," she said.
