GLITZ and glamour are a part of everyday life for one Mackay model.
On Sunday, model and swimwear creator Tasha Dunlop Stolzenberg will compete as one of Queensland's representatives in the Miss Galaxy Australia competition in Sydney.
Ms Dunlop Stolzenberg said she had been modelling professionally for the past two years.
"I love it (modelling)," Miss Dunlop Stolzenberg said.
"I love being on stage on the catwalk and I enjoy the competition side of things."
She said the pageant-style Miss Galaxy Australia competition was similar to the Miss Australia competition.
"I'll be modelling more Hollywood-type gowns at the competition," Miss Dunlop Stolzenberg said.
"(Girls) of all heights (can compete as there's) no real formal restrictions. It's beauty with a purpose as it has a fundraising side to it. I've raised $656 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a part of the competition."
As well as modelling, Miss Dunlop Stolzenberg said she had made some of her own costumes.
"If I see something I like, I'll tweak it to suit what I like. I'll make them from scratch. It can take one to two days to make a costume, or a whole week."
She said her ultimate goal was to become an international model.
"In 2011 I was a Miss Indy National finalist," Miss Dunlop Stolzenberg said.
"I've entered Miss World this year and I'm waiting to hear back to see if I've made the preliminaries. I've also entered the UberGirl Australia competition, to compete in April. It was only available in the United Kingdom last year."
Miss Dunlop Stolzenberg has been kept busy with the launch of her own swimwear line Cayios Swimwear by TashaD.
"I've been getting my swimwear line started," she said.
"We did a photo shoot last week and the website should be up and running soon."
- Entrants will be judged on their modelling and interview skills.
- The overall winner will fly to Florida, USA, to represent Australia in the Miss Galaxy International final in July.
