Taxi driver robbed at gunpoint at a service station

BREAKING: A taxi driver was robbed by two men who threatened him with a weapon, police say.

Queensland Police said it was investigating the early-morning robbery.

"Initial investigations indicate just before 2am two men on a motorcycle approached the taxi at a service station on Morayfield Road," QPS said in a statement.

"One of the men produced a weapon and demanded money from the male taxi driver before discharging a shot."

"The 45-year-old driver was not physically injured during the robbery."

Both men were wearing motorcycle helmets and were wearing dark clothes.
