Teams turn out for Sullivan’s Carnival

MORE than 100 netball teams have nominated for Sullivan's Carnival to be played at Rockhampton's Jardine Park this weekend.

Teams from the Capricorn Coast, Mackay, Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald and Barcaldine will line up against those from the host centre in senior, junior and mixed divisions.

The senior A competition will provide a good hit-out for some school open teams that are preparing to compete at the annual Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Netball carnival to be hosted by The Cathedral College in Rockhampton from June 26 to July 1.

Teams in this weekend's carnival will play in a round robin format with no finals.

Games start at 10.30am tomorrow, with the final round starting at 7pm. On Sunday, play starts at 9.30am with the final round at 1pm.
