UPDATE 4.30pm:
A Rockhampton Hospital spokesperon confirmed the teenager has been discharged from hospital.
UPDATE 11am:
It's believed the teen had been sleeping in a swag at the time of the incident, according to a RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service spokesperson.
The helicopter was tasked to the campsite at Three Rivers Beach just after 2am.
The teenage girl was treated on scene by a critical care paramedic and retrieval doctor.
9.30am SUNDAY:
A TEENAGE girl was rushed to hospital after a four-wheel-drive allegedly ran over her at Five Rocks early this morning.
A police spokesperson said it was believed the 16-year-old was sleeping on the beach around 2am when she was run over by the vehicle.
The teen was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious but stable condition; it is believed her condition has improved since.
Police are investigating the incident.
