Teenager airlifted from Cooloola National Park

A TEENAGER has been airlifted to hospital after he dislocated his left arm whilst camping in the Cooloola National Park.

RACQ CareFlight was tasked to the Noosa North Shore late Friday afternoon to take the 19-year-old to Nambour Hospital.

Due to the high tide the QAS couldn't reach him and the camping party couldn't drive him out.

The rescue helicopter landed near the campsite and the medical team on-board administered pain relief.

The teenager was airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
