Five day alcohol binge topped with Tequila ends with fight

ON a scale of one to 10 of how drunk he was when fighting in the street on November 1, Jester Jansz Costales told a Rockhampton Magistrate he was "probably 100".

Costales pleaded guilty to one count of public nuisance in Rockhampton Magistrates Court yesterday after going on a five day alcohol binge which ended in a fight on Houlihan St at 10.30pm.

Police prosecutor acting sergeant Shaun Janes told the court witnesses said Costales drank half a bottle of tequila throughout the day.

"It was more than half a bottle," Costales said.

Magistrate Michael O'Driscoll told Costales to seek help for his personal problems.

"Alcohol is not the solution," he said.

Costales was fined $350 with no convictions recorded.
