Terror threat closures right move: YOUR SAY
A DECISION to close two Toowoomba military museums due to the Australia's rising terror threat has strong support from city residents.
The Australian Army Flying Museum in Oakey and the Milne Bay Military Museum will be closed indefinitely until the terrorism threat has eased.
Staff at Milne Bay were given their marching orders on Friday afternoon just minutes before the decision to close Oakey's nation-scale museum was made.
At the weekend, Chronicle Facebook likers supported the decision.

This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.
"Better safe than sorry because if things like this didn't happen and there was an incident people would be screaming blue bloody murder," Terresa Nelder Barton said.
"Have a look where they are. both are next to bases. Very easy to use them to attack those bases," Andrew Greaves said.
"Better to be safe than say 'I told you so' if something did happen," Lisa Kinsella said.
"If we close our eyes to threats we are no better than the US. Even if Abbott is a useless idiot and not thinking about the long term safety of Australians. It's all about money and power.
However, there were some who hit out the closures as an overreaction.
"Disgraceful, a meaningless propaganda exercise to make Abbott and Co look like they have some kind of relevance on the world stage," Alex Law said.
"What a load of crap, I think it's a bit overboard," Rob McGill said.
