Terry launches new CQ speculative fiction journal

TERRY Phillips works in admin by day, but at night he sits down to write and edit Steampunk fiction.

Today, he celebrated the launch of Specul8, a journal of speculative fiction with contributions from writers across Central Queensland.

Terry said the journal, which he hoped would be published bi-annually, celebrated a variety of genres with anything from dark horror to sci-fi and fantasy.

"We hope to get it off the ground and make it a viable publication to give local authors the chance to be published," Terry said.
