The new Rocky venue everyone's flipping out over

KAYLA McMillan-Falge knows where she is going to be spending her school holidays - at Flip Out Rockhampton.

The 11-year-old Rocky girl was one of more than 1000 who bounced through the doors of the region's newest attraction over the weekend.

Kayla said the trampoline arena was just what Rockhampton needed.

"When I heard this was opening I was like,'finally there will be something fun in Rockhampton'," Kayla said.

"My little sister and I have a really small trampoline at home but we have lots of fun and play lots of games.

"It's a bit of a hard workout jumping on the trampoline all day. Having this here is awesome and exciting and I hope to come here lots more."

FlipOut Rocky co-owner Maurice Salib said the opening weekend had been a huge success.

"It was amazing. We've had awesome support from the community here. Rockhampton has a cool vibe and everyone is loving the experience here on the trampoline and we can't wait to deliver more and more," Mr Salib said.

"Roughly upwards of 500 people have come through the doors today and around the same on Saturday.

"I foresee that we are going to get busier and busier because people don't know that we are open yet. So in saying that, it's going to be very exciting and we aim to be really busy by week six of the school holidays."

While the trampoline arena is already a hit, Mr Salib said locals could expect more exciting additions in coming months.

"The best thing about our set-up is that we are going to incorporate a kids arena, a foam pit, Olympic tramps and all of that kind of stuff to have a fully fitted out trampoline park," he said.

"We should have that completed approximately three months after the school holidays.

"This venue is permanent so come down and have some fun."

Flip Out Rockhampton is open from 9am-9pm Sunday to Thursday and 9am-midnight Friday and Saturday.
