The Pines takes off with $7million in early sales

A "HIGHLY sought-after" estate near Yeppoon has set the benchmark in living on the Capricorn Coast after achieving more than $7 million in sales in its first weeks.

In August, Queensland property development group Homecorp successfully launched the first master plan of The Pines.

The Pines' sales manager Danny Carr said the rapid sales underlined the demand for high quality living within the region.

"The Pines is an estate like no other because of its strong investments in sport and recreation, parks, lakes and open space," he said.

The Pines will become a community of more than 2500 people and will cater for all ages and families.

Mr Carr said one of the biggest selling points setting The Pines apart from other estates in the region was the availability of super-fast fibre optic broadband internet.

"Many areas of Yeppoon are internet 'black spots'," he said.

"The Pines is a 'smart estate' and has fibre optic wiring to the door which means residents will have plug-and-play, high-speed internet and Foxtel."

In August, developers Homecorp Property Group started a multi-million dollar infrastructure investment with the construction of the main gateway in The Pines, the intersection at Rockhampton-Yeppoon Rd and The Pines Boulevard.

Next year Homecorp plans to open the first streets in The Pines, which will include a 12-home builders' display village.
