Theodore Hospital patients evacuated

9.50am: FOUR people were evacuated by helicopter from the Theodore Hospital in Central Queensland at 5am today.

Kay Becker from the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue unit said the four Theodore residents had been taken by chopper from the elderly unit, and were not in a critical condition.

She said the residents were the first to be evacuated from the hospital, and were being flown to Moura to avoid flooding near the hospital.
