Three charged over break-in

THREE people have been charged over a break-in at a North Rockhampton home this morning.

Police said the occupants of the Sheehy Street residence at Park Avenue were asleep when the offenders gained entry to the downstairs area of the locked house about midnight.

Reported stolen was a mobile phone, car navigation electronic device, rum cans, a money jar and three iPods.

Police said the males charged were aged 15, 16 and 17.

They were found at 2am near Autobarn on Yaamba Road and were charged with break-and-enter and theft.

Some of the stolen items were returned to the owners.
