Three-day drug crackdown sees over $100,000 of drugs seized

ROCKHAMPTON Criminal Investigation Branch officers have seized drugs worth more than $100,000 (street value) in a three-day crackdown throughout the city.

Rockhampton CIB officer-in-charge Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Moon says in the past three days, more than 20 people have been arrested in relation to a number of drug raids around Rockhampton.

He says the drugs seized include cannabis, methamphetamine, ice and synthetic drugs.

Police officers executed a search warrant at a Woodville Street house in Wandal this week and found a clandestine laboratory.

About 40 police officers have been involved in a series of drug busts in the past three days.

It is not known when the alleged offenders will appear in court.

Det Snr Sgt Moon encourages residents to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 if they have any information about drug supply and production.

"Our officers are relentless," Det Snr Sgt Moon says.

"If you have drugs, expect a knock on your door."
