Christmas shopping season sees spike in trade at Stockland

IT IS set to be a merry Christmas for Stockland Rockhampton as they prepare for the influx of shoppers as the festive season approaches.

Stockland Rockhampton centre manager Nathanial Barbagallo said he and his team had been preparing all year for the holiday season which proved to be the busiest time for businesses.

"It is a great time to be in retail," Nathanial said.

"At Stockland we always see a large spike in customer traffic over the Christmas period.

"November, December and January is our busiest period and we prepare for that all year.

"The centre is really starting to pick up and we encourage everyone to get down here."

Nathanial said the spike in shoppers was really good to see and would be a great boost for the local economy.
