Toowoomba man charged with child porn offences

A TOOWOOMBA man has been charged with possessing and accessing child exploitation material by the Crime and Corruption Commission.

The 47-year-old was charged with the child porn offences after a search warrant was executed on his Toowoomba home last night.

Police seized a number of computers and storage devices which they will allege contain child exploitation images and videos.

RELATED

The raid on the Toowoomba property came after a covert investigation involving detectives from the Crime and Corruption Commission's Cerberus Unit with assistance from the Queensland Police Service's Toowoomba Child Protection Investigation Unit.

The man was arrested and bailed to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on July 8 charged with possessing child exploitation material and using a carriage service to access child pornography material.

The investigation is ongoing.
