
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: Top five things to do this week
FEED the baby animals or ride ponies around a track, there's heaps to keep the kids entertained for the first week of the school holidays.
Tomorrow 9am-12pm: School Holiday Activities at the Rockhampton Heritage Village. Feed the animals, ride on the stagecoach, vintage cars, ponies and the double decker bus. Parental supervision, hats and closed-in shoes required. Cost $9.50 per child 18 months + (one free adult per family), extra adults $9.50.
Tomorrow 3pm-4pm: Wool Weaving at the Byfield Library, Raspberry Creek Homestead.
Wednesday 12.30pm-2.30pm: Tie Dying Workshop at Yeppoon Community Centre Garage, John St. Contact: 4913 3850. Bring along a white item of clothing to transform into a colourful masterpiece at this fun workshop.
Wednesday 10am-2pm: The Rockhampton Art Gallery visits Stockland Rockhampton for paper craft, drawing and collage activities outside the Reject Shop.
Thursday 9am-11.30am: Come and get pony crazy this school holidays at 291 Mount Wheeler Rd, Cawarral. $20 per riding child (no need to pay for non-riding kids) complimentary tea/coffee for grown ups, and sausage sizzle available.
