Top toys for Christmas

THESE are among the toys tipped to top Christmas wish lists this year:
  • A Fur Real Lulu
  • Transformers Devastator
  • Twilight New Moon game
  • Barbie Ballerina
  • Toy Story Electronic Buzz.

For 2½-year-old Krysta Martin, Barbie Ballerina, a cute panda, Fur Real Lulu and dollies are on her list to Santa.

“She is a girlie-girl and loves her dollies,” her mum Kacee said as they started Christmas shopping at Big W in Rockhampton yesterday.

Big W’s business manager of leisure, John Ung, said one of the city’s top Christmas sellers for boys was the Transformers Devastator which hit the store this week. “We sold 19 the day it was released. It’s been a big hit with the boys and ours is the cheapest in town,” Mr Ung said.

This Christmas, boys are digging the Gremlin Water Gun and Mr Ung said the new and updated Toy Story Electronic Buzz was a popular choice.

He said the girls in Rockhampton were going crazy over the new Moxie Girls toys.

“The little girls love them because they can dress them up with make-up and hair accessories,” he said.

“The girls are also interested in the Ez-2 Make pizza-makers and cake-making kits because they can do their own thing in the kitchen with mum.”

Other toys set to fill Santa’s sleigh for boys this year are Lego City Garage ($134) and Ben 10 Alien Force Illuminator Omnitrix ($29.84).Gremlin Water Gun ($9.93).

For girls, the Christmas wish list is sure to include Aquasand Light Up Kingdom ($48.42), Barbie Ballerina ($14.72), LPS Deco Pets ($19.64) and Deluxe Supermarket Checkout ($68.74).

Mr Ung said toys were more hi-tech than ever, with the Nintendo Wii and DSI very popular with the kids this Christmas.
