Traces of explosives found on Russian plane wreck
TRACES of explosives have been found among the wreckage of a passenger plane that crashed in Egypt last month killing 224 people.
The head of Russia's security service Alexander Bortnikov has confirmed the plane crashed over the Sinai desert on October 31 as a result of a 'terrorist act'.
Mr Bortnikov told President Vladimir Putin that a homemade device with the equivalent of a kilogram of TNT was responsible for the explosion.
Mr Putin has vowed to find and punish the attackers, calling it "one of the bloodiest crimes".
