Travel World of Musicals in one show

AS a young girl growing up in Scotland, Rebekah Johanne can remember watching the likes of superstars Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston on the TV.

Years of passion and hard work have now led Rebekah to the stage herself, with her latest role in one of the most exciting shows known as The World of Musicals.

The shows title leaves nothing to the imagination, featuring a huge medley of classic songs and themes from some of history's best musicals.

Direct from London's West End, The World of Musicals brings the very best of Musical Theatre to life to Australian Stages for the first time in March/April 2017, playing at the Pilbeam Theatre, March 5.

This incredible theatre production brings the big theatre company songs from Les Miserable, The Lion King, Sister Act, We Will Rock You, Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia, Jersey Boys, Cabaret, Wicked as well as stunning solo and duet numbers from Phantom Of The Opera, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Chicago, Once, Evita, Singing In The Rain, Little Shop Of Horrors, Miss Saigon and Cats to the stage.

Speaking to Rebekah from Beijing, China last week, she told Pulse how excited she was about her first visit to Australia.

"I was just so interested at an early age (in performing), I always loved the magic of it,” she explained.

Described as colourful, inspiring, full of memorable classics, the show is all performed by an international cast, presenting the audience with entertainment at the highest level.

Rebekah said the high energy show was something she felt privileged to be part of. "You're just in so many musicals in one show and I think that's what I enjoy about it the most,” she said.

"You get the opportunity to perform so many different genres. We Will Rock You is definitely a huge favourite. One of my solos songs is in that section, and I love Bohemian Rhapsody.

"Just come down and enjoy and come and experience the journey with us,” she encouraged Rockhampton audiences.
