Trick, treat at Heritage Village
SPOOKY? A little.
Something different for Halloween? Definitely!
Get dressed up in your favourite Halloween costume to trick or treat yourself with a Halloween Lantern Tour at the Rockhampton Heritage Village on Halloween night, Friday October 30, from 6pm to 8.30pm.
Providing the perfect opportunity for your children to “trick or treat” in a fun and safe environment, Halloween Lantern Tours set off at intervals to tour the Heritage Village with a kerosene lantern.
The tour ends at the Village Timber Cutters' Camp with a campfire and a few surprises!
This is the second year Rockhampton Regional Council has celebrated Halloween with the Halloween Lantern Tours at the Rockhampton Heritage Village, with last year's event a huge success.
Deputy Mayor of Rockhampton Regional Council, Cr Rose Swadling, said 250 people joined in the fun of the Halloween Lantern Tours last year, and almost all of those who came along were dressed up for the occasion.
“Children brought their treat bags and buckets along in anticipation, and as they entered the Village cottages they were given lollies as treats and you should have seen the excitement on their faces,” Cr Swadling said.
“It was also wonderful to see the parents enjoying the night just as much as the kids,” she said.
This is one Halloween treat you don't want to miss!
Admission prices (which include a lantern tour of the village at 7pm and a barbecue dinner between 6pm and 8pm) are $12 for adults, $8 for children and $40 for a family of two adults and three children.
“I encourage families to join in the fun of Halloween at the Rockhampton Heritage Village ...”
