Rocky trolley boy 'bashed'

POLICE are investigating the alleged bashing of a 19-year-old trolley boy at Stockland Rockhampton last night.

Police were called to the North Rockhampton shopping complex about 9.30pm.

The boy has this afternoon given police a formal statement.

It comes during a week where teen gang violence at the complex has been under the spotlight.

On Monday, The Morning Bulletin revealed a 15-year-old girl was attacked by a gang of about 20 teenagers at Stockland Rockhampton on January 14.

This week, Stockland Rockhampton tenant of 16 years Jack Kennedy expressed his concerns at the escalating violence.

More in-depth coverage of the alleged trolley boy bashing will be provided in tomorrow's Weekend Bulletin.
