Trolley crash: One dead, one injured

A SWEDISH man died and another was injured seriously after crashing a shopping trolley in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs on Tuesday morning.

They were joyriding in a trolley down a hill on Coogee Bay Rd in Randwick when they hit a car.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported the trolley may have reached speeds up to 80kmh while the men were riding in it.

The two men, aged 28, lost control of the trolley and collided with the car.

The driver and a cyclist provided first aid until the ambulance arrived. The driver was not injured.
