Truck accident on Capricorn Highway

EMERGENCY services crews are at the scene of a truck accident on the Capricorn Highway.

The driver called emergency services just after 1pm today.

Initial reports suggested the truck had rolled over, off the highway, and was down an embankment, however this has still to be confirmed.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said the accident occurred near Stuart Creek on the highway.

QFRS closed the highway for assessment upon arrival, but police say the highway is now fully open.

An ambulance transported the male driver, 69, to Rockhampton Hospital with a shoulder injury.
