Truck stuck under Fitzroy bridge
1.30pm: A TRUCK driver had an embarrassing moment today when his vehicle got stuck under the Fitzroy River Bridge, near The Criterion Hotel, about 11am.
Curious onlookers watched on for several minutes as the truckie jumped out of the vehicle and deflated the tyres so he could move the vehicle, which was wedged between the road’s surface and the bottom of the bridge.
At one stage a large bus had to cross lanes to pass the truck.
A sign on the bridge says vehicles larger than 3.3m should not travel below.
It didn’t appear the truck was damaged in the incident.
