Two bike riders airlifted after head-on north of Yeppoon
THE RACQ Capricorn Rescue was yesterday tasked to a paddock just north of Yeppoon where two dirt bike riders collided head on.
Ambulance officers were first on scene and called for RACQ Capricorn Rescue to attend the accident and transfer a 44-year-old male with a suspected broken forearm and a 25-year-old male with suspected broken ribs by air to Rockhampton due to the remote location of the collision.
The helicopter service left the base for north of Yeppoon just after 3pm.
Both patients were in a stable condition throughout the flight and transferred to the Rockhampton Hospital to receive medical care.
