Two charged after boy, 14, held captive for nine hours

POLICE say a 14-year-old boy was held against his will for more than nine hours on Friday morning in an alleged home invasion in Gracemere.

A woman, 33, who arrived at the house later in the morning was also allegedly held against her will.

Police said a man, 35, and a woman, 22, both from Allenstown, forced their way into a Tarragon St house about 2am.

They said the boy had bruising to his arms but did not need medical treatment, while the woman was not injured.

The alleged intruders were charged with two counts each of deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count each of breaking and entering a dwelling at night with intent.

They appeared in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.
