Man held against his will for months – police

TWO MEN have been charged for assault and holding another man against his will in Kingston.

A 25-year-old man reported the alleged abuse to the Beenleigh Police Station yesterday afternoon about 4:15pm.

He told officers he had been assaulted and kept against his will at a residence for a number of months.

The man was taken to hospital to treat a number of lacerations and bruising.

Police have charged two men â€" a 20-year-old and a 23-year-old â€" both from Kingston, with one count each of torture and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

The pair is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
