Two projects and chopper service win with Federal funding

NEW federal funding was today announced for both Rockhampton and Yeppoon, with three key projects in the region coming home with $20 million.

$2.344 million has been granted to the Capricorn Helicopter Service, $7 million to the Rockhampton riverbank "revamp" and $10 million to stage four and five of the Yeppoon Foreshore Redevelopment.

Capricornia MP Michelle Landry today announced the funding, which was sought through round two of the Federal Coalition Government's National Stronger Regions Fund.

"This has been a long road, but persistence has paid off and I am delighted that the Deputy Prime Minister has approved funding for these projects and I thank him for this time," she said.

The three projects received the full amount of funding they applied for.
