Thugs with knife mug teen shopper

A YOUNG teenager yesterday ran into Hungry Jacks for help after being robbed at knifepoint in the car park.

Two young men stole his wallet and mobile phone before fleeing on bicycles into Kershaw Gardens.

Police said the young victim was left shaken but uninjured in the wake of the violent robbery which took place about 4pm.

One of his two assailants had been armed with a knife, police said.

A Hungry Jacks spokesman yesterday said the victim's brother had raced into the fast food restaurant at Aquatic Place, North Rockhampton, and used their phone to call police.

Police conducted patrols of the area, but the two young bandits were not found. The Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating.

It has asked anyone with any information that may help find the pair to come forward.
