Two people taken to hospital after crash on Fitzroy Bridge

10am: TWO people have been taken to Rockhampton Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the Fitzroy Bridge this morning.

The Queensland Ambulance Service reports via Twitter that both patients were in a stable condition when they were transported.

9.05am: EMERGENCY services are responding to a hit and run traffic crash on the Fitzroy Bridge.

Reports indicate two vehicles were involved in the crash.

It is believed Queensland Ambulance, Queensland Police and Queesland Fire and Rescue Service have been called to the scene, however, QFES operators do not have any details about the incident.

Reports indicate a 36-year-old female is having difficulty breathing as a result of the accident. She is at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle has turned up at the nearest police station.
