Ultimate Bloke Auction round two kicks off this morning

THE next round in the $50 million Hassalls "Ultimate Bloke Auction" of Curtis Island LNG equipment will kick off in Gracemere (Rockhampton) at 10am this morning.

Hassalls, Australian resources asset and disposals specialists, will be selling goods from the Gladstone LNG project at a number of north Queensland and online auctions over coming months.

Plant machinery, tools, vehicles, construction equipment and much more will be going under the hammer at the Hassalls' Gracemere, Rockhampton yard.

Hundreds of businesses, tradies and punters out for a good buy turned up to the last auction on October 14, either in person or by live webcast.

"These are the sorts of auctions that just don't come around that often," Hassalls General Manager Steve Wall said.

"There is a very large range of equipment and some especially good buying.

"We encourage anyone to come and have a look because there's bound to be something they're interested in at a very good price."

Hassalls auctions have become well known community events with thousands of dollars raised for charities on the day to support selected causes.

"We work with a lot of clients that operate in the resources and industrial sectors in northern Queensland and value the opportunity to support their local communities whenever possible," Mr Wall said.

Hassalls is working in conjunction with leading international asset-management company Liquidity Services on the $50 million sale of Curtis Island LNG Project sell-off.

Liquidity Services, which has over 7,000 clients, three million registered buyers and achieves over $1 billion in sales annually has called upon Australian resources authority Hassalls to manage the Curtis Island disposal project.

Mr Wall said the sale of equipment from the Curtis Island LNG project was attracting interest from local business and farmers through to international buyers seeking to fit out other mining projects.
