Uninvited hotel guest gets $300 fine

A ROCKHAMPTON man who invited himself into a Longreach hotel room after a night drinking in January last year was fined $300 by a Magistrate on November 10.

Rex Alexander White pleaded guilty to one count of trespass by entering a place of business after he stayed in an accommodation room of the Lyceum Hotel without invitation.

The court heard White went upstairs at the hotel after drinking at the downstairs bar and slept in an unlocked room. No convictions were recorded.
