Vessels wash ashore in aftermath of Cyclone Dylan
POLICE are looking into a number of vessels that washed ashore during Friday's storm activity.
A trawler was found washed onto Farnborough Beach, north of the Mercure Capricorn Resort.
Another vessel which sank in Statue Bay about a month ago is now being pushed onto the beach.
A 30ft white catamaran was also found adrift in Coorooman Creek, while a dinghy was seen adrift between Humpy Island and Great Keppel Island.
A boat also sunk in the Fitzroy River between Gavial Creek and Devil's Elbow.
While police are investigating, Acting Senior Sergeant Doug Imhoff said it was the owners responsibility to organise the recovery of the vessels.
