Vibrant postcards spread the message of harmony in libraries

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Libraries' competition entrants will have their colourful artworks displayed leading up to, and in celebration of, Harmony Day 2013 on Thursday, March 21, from 10am to 1pm.

Community members were invited to create artworks or a collage on a postcard which best represented the theme of 'harmony'.

Last week, council's communities committee chairwoman councillor Rose Swadling announced the winners, which were selected from a multitude of colourful entries.

Entries will be on display at the Yeppoon Library and Rockhampton Regional Library leading up to Harmony Day, with other libraries displaying the vibrant entries during the month.

Postcard winners were Mary Loch, Kate Nielsen and Melina Knackstedt.

Community members will also share their stories, dances, songs and food from their cultures in between short films and during intermission.
