AS he sat in his kayak on the Fitzroy River, struggling to reel in his fishing line, Andrew Miller thought he was setting the record for the world's biggest barramundi.

But after 15 minutes of fighting, he discovered a six foot bull shark on the end of his 20 pound line.

The Rockhampton man said he's caught three sharks in the Fitzroy in the last month, and he estimated this first one was the same size as his kayak.
