VIDEO: 'UFO' hovers over Toowoomba suburb

A TOOWOOMBA man has filmed what he believes is a UFO hovering over Wilsonton.

The man, who requested not to be named, was at a friend's house last Monday when a plane flying overhead caught their attention.

They looked up at the sky and saw not only a plane but a floating silver disc.

He said they weren't sure what it was at first.

"My mate thought it might be a hot air balloon but we decided against that because it wasn't moving and hot air balloons don't normally come our way," he said.

"(My mate) is a pilot so he knew it wasn't a plane but we weren't sure what it was.

"It was floating there for five whole minutes and didn't move."

The man who filmed the UFO drove around the corner to his parent's house to get a set of binoculars so he could get a better look but by the time he looked back up at the sky it had gone.

He said the floating object intrigued him.

"In the video it is a little hard to see but to the naked eye it was as clear as anything," he said.

"I am not a huge believer of aliens but I think there is something out there.

"You have to be naive to think we are alone," he said.
