IT was a proposal like no other.

Jessie Slade had no idea her boyfriend Harley Quinlan was planning a flash-mob proposal, but found herself the centre of attention as a group of dancers broke out in front of her.

The pair has been dating for a year and Mr Quinlan decided to rope in a team of dancers to help him pop the question.

With the help of his friend Chris Veivers and Mayhem Dance he pulled off an epic proposal.

Mr Quinlan spent months planning the romantic gesture.

On Saturday the couple were walking to lunch through Laurel Bank Park when a young girl walked up to Ms Slade and handed her a bunch of roses.

No sooner had she looked up, a flash mob had broken out into song and dance in front of her.

They performed to Dancin' by Aaron Smith, one of the couple's favourite songs.

At the end of the performance Mr Quinlan popped the question and through tears of joy Ms Slade said yes.

She said it was the best day of her life.

"I was really proud of him for pulling it off. I had no idea he was planning it," she said.

"I told him I wanted something outrageous and he pulled it off perfectly. It was very creative and ballsy."

Mr Quinlan said he was thrilled the day went so well.

"We have been friends for about six years now and have been together for a year and from the start I knew she was the woman for me," he said.

"I know Jessie said she wanted a public proposal so I thought of an out of the box surprise proposal would be nice."

The couple is expecting a child at the end of May and plan to tie the knot after the baby is born.
