KEEP WARM: Queensland should be expecting some chilly nights. Lucinda Ross

Warwick is state's coldest town as Queensland shivers

FORGET work today, Warwick. It's too cold for that.

Warwick is this morning the coldest spot in the state, hitting -3.3°C at 5.52am.

That's slightly warmer than its minimum yesterday, but I'm sure it won't feel that way.

The BOM doesn't have any figures for what that felt like, but we can assume that "cold" isn't enough to cover it.

Wellcamp Airport was down to -3°C at 3am but felt like -5.9°C

Amberley has fallen below zero, marking -0.1°C at 5.36am.

The Bureau of Meteorology didn't have an "apparent temperature" to run alongside, but at 5am, it felt like -3.8°C.

Kingaroy was down to -2.7°C at 5.44am, even though it felt closer to -5°C.

Gatton was down to 1.8 at 5.09am.
