Water views in East Street

PART of East Street in Rockhampton became a water paradise this morning when a burst main filled drains.

Around 8am there were some traffic delays for people turning into East Street after coming over the Fitzroy River Bridge.

Rockhampton Regional Council workers were on the scene and around 8.30am the water wasn't gushing as quickly down gutters.

It caused a spectacle for business owners on East Street as plenty of them lined the pavement to see what was happening.

Rockhampton Regional Council will comment later today about what caused the main to burst. See tomorrow's Morning Bulletin for all the detail and more pictures from the scene.
