Weekend crime spree in Rocky

THERE was a spate of car and house break-ins in Rockhampton over the weekend.

Police said a number of cars around Rocky were broken into and valuables like small change, cosmetics, a CD player and other small items were stolen.

While two men have been charged in relation to separate car break-ins, police are still investigating a number of incidents.

Cars were broken into in different suburbs including Berserker, Wandal, The Range and Rockhampton City.

At Lawrences Motors on Richardson Road, a tip truck was taken from the yards and driven through the mesh fence.

It was last seen heading north along Scott Street.

Mackay was also hit with nine cars broken into over the weekend.
