Weekend of good food and wine on the Capricorn Coast

GOOD food lovers and fine wine aficionados are counting down to the weekend of September 19-21 when they will arrive at the Mercure Capricorn Resort, Yeppoon for the 2014 Capricorn Food and Wine Festival.

The weekend uncorks with the Welcome Cocktail Evening on Friday, September 19.

The family-friendly festival opens 10am-5pm, September 20-21 and is free to attend.

Be educated and inspired by top chefs' cooking demonstrations in the Celebrity Theatre.

Visit, taste and learn from the exhibitors in our Food and Wine Pavilion.

Free buses will run between Yeppoon and Mercure Capricorn Resort throughout the day.

The Ladies of the Vine Luncheon sponsored by ANZ on Saturday September 20 will be an afternoon of fashion, food and entertainment.

Set in the picturesque Beach Pool Lawns Marquee, guests will enjoy a three-course luncheon with matching Kirin ciders and guest appearance by Massimo Mele.
