Weir companies to face court
TWO companies responsible for a weir that collapsed and drowned a four-year-old girl will face court tomorrow over the incident.
Nelani Koefer was swept to her death when an inflatable section of Bedford Weir near Blackwater, about 200km west of Rockhampton, burst in November 2008.
The broken weir released thousands of megalitres of water into the river where Nelani was swimming.
